What time should I leave Cebu for Oslob?

Watching starts around 6 am and the quietest, calmest water is between 6 and 7 am; a sample plan in travellers’ reports registers at 5:30 am. With 2.5–3 hours on the road that means leaving Cebu City at about 3:30–4:00 am. Our driver picks you up at the hotel door at that hour at no extra charge.

Prefer not to get up at 3 am? Stay the night near Oslob (car from the airport $150) and walk to registration in the morning.

How much does it cost and what are the rules?

Travellers’ reports (June 2026) list snorkelling at ₱1,000 for foreigners and ₱500 for Filipinos, diving at ₱1,500 / ₱1,000 — confirm with Oslob tourism on the day. Rules reported by travellers (we found no official rules page online): keep at least 4–5 m from the sharks, no touching, no flash, no chasing, and no sunscreen before entering the water.
